I'm going with no.
This is worthwhile work, reclaiming wood. But very risky when on top of a tall, shaky roof. One false move and you're dead, paralyzed, or maimed for life. Better have good insurance for the last two possibilities.
He doesn't work from the top down...though yes this type of work is inherently dangerous.You forgot to mention the nails. Holy tetanus shot!
