  1. I'll take a screen shot of the fancy email confirmation with my "nice" smart phone but have to send it via WiFi once I leave home.

    Nicely done you all!

All inspired by a kind hearted generous young lady.

The total donations came to $310 and I threw in another $5 and made the judgement call of 2 shares of a community animal health worker kit with the donations that exceeded sending the girl to school.

    Awesome!

  3. There was an additional $25.00 donation that was not "pledged" publicly on the other post, which is why the amount is more than what it adds up to be based on that calculation. What a great "problem" to have!

  4. That's very cool. Thanks for doing the legwork and making this happen! Hopefully April will be happy and know that there are good people out there who care about her.

  7. Hi Everyone, Sorry I haven't been around much. I took the girls to their other grandparents for Thanksgiving and then went and stayed with a friend for a couple of days. Once home and settled back in both girls came down with fevers and throwing up.. They're up and in everything today so doing much better. I have shown April the threads about Heifer International. She also perused the HI site and catalog. She was really happy sending a girl to school was chosen for the funds donated. She learned new things and I think may have gained a greater respect for the things she has that many other little girls don't. This was a wonderful experience for her and we both thank all of the folks on this site for their friendliness and outpouring of kindess and yes righting a wrong.

About 30 minutes after she got to her other grandma's she was talking about how a group of my friends were helping her to send a girl to school. She's forgotten all about the JW stuff (I hope). We sit down together at night and read several of the blogs suggested here. She hasn't mentioned returning to read CAF. She has asked how Meredith's dogs are doing, so if Meredith could give us an update. April wants to say "Thank you everyone!"
And I want to say Thank you for being such a wonderful group of people who have been so kind towards me and my granddaughter.

    Kay (MN)
