Heathen heathout

Are heathens a widely persecuted group in the US today?

Jennas acts as if she's part of a terrorist sleeper cell.

Why would people care if she's a heathen? Registered sex offender...probably. heathen? Not so much.  Being heathen is about as interesting as being Jewish.

"Basically I have recently been reaching out to local community organizers in the business, charity, and conservancy areas around my town. Today while talking to an Evangelical Christian food pantry (our towns only food pantry) about our groups December Food Drive I realized how flippantly I introduced myself as the "Organizer of Tyr’s Good Hand, the local Heathen Kindred” as if I was a Lutheran gal from the town over... To her credit the slightly built middle-aged woman in soccer mom attire didn’t so much as blink an eye at that. She just wanted to know what that meant and who we were. Explaining something as complicated (and to some, weird) as Heathenry isn’t easy and I didn’t try. I basically said we were mostly Asatru leaning Pagans and community service was important to us. How could we help? That was all she needed to hear. She didn’t ask anything else but went with me through the food pantry isles to show me the kinds of canned goods and toiletries they needed. We shook hands, she asked my name again, and I had the schedule and the community needs to report back to my tribe.

I walked out of there feeling 5 inches taller. "

To her credit?!

She can't be serious can she?

She doesn't have enough wood to heat her home for winter, too busy carving wooden God poles.

"God Poles! We have Odin (Thanks to Tim and Jo) and I am working on the masculine god pole carving very much this month. "

Stop carving and start cutting.

Can't finish a paid project...too busy purchasing and building websites for heathen group,  honing in her ax throwing skills, getting drunk on mead, and pretending as if she is going to volunteer somewhere.

Jenna olsteen here we come!

I like the idea of her inviting more and more people to her property. Any extra eyes on the condition of the animals is good.

  1. Well, actually the problem with Heathenry is that it tends to be hooked on to by white supremacists. I think less so nowadays, but many of the symbols used by Heathens are co-opted by these groups, including mjolnir. And persecution of Pagans in general tends to be heavier in some regions than in others, i.e.: the southeast, less so in the northern states. And more so in rural areas compared to metros. It is on the decline, generally speaking. However, as a Pagan myself, I am thoroughly pissed at Jenna for claiming a Pagan belief system as what seems to be her newest ploy for donations and being a special fucking snowflake. Beyond pissed, actually.

    7. She pretends at polytheism, daring to use the sacred names of gods and goddesses as buzz words to gain views for her blog. A "fluffy bunny" if I ever saw one. I cringe every time she mentions religion.

She's no more a true pagan than she is a true farmer.

  5. Meredith, would you please also post this website on Reddit? I think this site has A LOT of valid information beyond the wool CSA and is more current. Of course up to you...I don't know if that would cause a shitstorm from them...
Also, a comment about Birchthorn and taking 15K from people and not delivering is something they should all know about. It will make them think twice before THEY are paying her mortgage!

  7. Becca, I'm with you. How dare she co-opt an Old Religion to get new victims - I am super-cranky about it as well. However, I am a little worried that in this blog we will cross the line and start trashing her stated religion out of frustration (not that you Becca are doing that, I am saying in general). Because it isn't her special snowflake status, the religion she practices, or her belief systems that are the problem. It is that she steals money from the well-intentioned, and doesn't take care of her animals that is the problem. Not heathenism or whatever her flavor of the month is.

This will be a good gauge to see how many Jenna fans are left!

.....and the webinar thing, the kickstarter thing, the Clan blog thing, the pig share thing. Any "thing" where she took money and did not deliver the goods/services. She was a "beginning" farmer when Maude was left to rot? The ram lamb that was down for weeks? That was just her Beginner Farmer phase? Curious that she would be teaching Livestock 101 to strangers for money if she was only a beginner--- which is it? How 'bout this past spring when she proclaimed "chicks are cheap" and acknowledged 50% death loss was not only expected but totally ok with her?

She is also capable of designing and having hoodies and T-shirts made. Her fans would eat those up. Then there are calendars, mugs, hats, and she could still do some of her workshops, yes, she is right that she could support herself on that property. You guys, all 40+ of you, are bitching and moaning about Jenna begging for money or scamming people or you don't like what she wears and tell her to get a JOB.

    HOWEVER......

You are going out of your way to make sure she can't get a job or work or raise money on her own by forming your vicious attack on her online where ever you can.

So what are you trying to accomplish? Just run her into the ground completely? You can't have it both ways.

But on the upside - an angry mob has a way of looking more like a group of disgruntled losers and helping her gain a loyal following. So way to go!

Can I assume that you haven't donated to one of her bi-monthly fund drives to save the farm only to find out that her mortgage remains 3 months behind and she's spending afternoons buying t-shirts, riding merlin, sipping store bought coffee and bingeing on Netflix.

I take it you don't know what it feels like to feel suckered out of $
How about a kid paying her allowance to someone for a service that someone promised and that someone doesn't follow through with said promise? That certain someone doesn’t answer emails, blocks comments on her blog from a 12 year old? That happened within the last year. A donation to a tooth that didn't get fixed for months later, while instead a puppy was purchased, was also misused.

I take it you don't think it's unethical to ask for a donation to keep a farm afloat and then throw in the faces of your donator’s things recently purchases -After you claimed to be broke or in the red in your checkbook. Numerous cases of this in the past 365 days.

It's also viewed as acceptable by you apparently that written on one of the threads of this blog a local donated $, just this past summer, for JW to fix her outbuildings. He offered his services to help repair said buildings and get them up to par for this winter. She accepted the donation via PayPal and told him she had the repairs under control-either she'd do them or a friend would be helping her with it this past summer. She stated to this man she felt bad for the shape the buildings were in and yes she would use that much needed money to do so. That $ was never used for repairs of any buildings on that farm. That was verified in November of this year.

By her own admittance no matter what kind of story she comes up with for donations- tooth, truck repairs etc. she almost always uses money donated for her late mortgages. Yet, every single time she mentions her mortgage she is always 90 days behind.

    1. (2/3) Buying 50% more chickens because she knows she will probably lose that many to predators or her dogs is poor animal husbandry. She's not a beginner at this point. She just doesn't know how to build tractors for chickens, or protect her flock. Period. This happened this past spring/ summer.

Whether you believe it or not her continuous practices of receiving money and not delivering are her modus operandi. It's her real-life reality living personality. She isn't going out in the world to generate real income or make a living. Did you miss her very recent post about not being able to work off her farm? No legit money-making going on there ever. How can any reader that has read her blog or FB for the last year trust that once they've paid for a simple t-shirt, she will deliver. She was paid 15,675 to produce 20,000 more words for an e-book and bound book beginning 8/2014. She spent ALL summer having fun and building her heathen clan-by her own admission she has spent one year building her kindred. While her book, promised in June, remains where? If an e-book and hardcover aren't received by her backers by 12/25 she has defaulted on yet another promise. Period
I’m not a heathen but from reading about them they value reputation. They cannot afford to have their name or work sullied or soiled by someone within misbehaving. JW has created a website that address deeds. This blog, although it does go off track at times, is an archive of past deeds. There are many people out there who have given up and moved on. There are many people who have not. JW counts on people to move on-hence why she refuses to answer email or continue to make her $10.00 a month payments. Why should those on Reddit be left in the dark? They should be given the information and then decide for themselves. All of the information should be given. They’re smart people let them look at the recent issues people have had with JW. She has to be held accountable for her misdeeds this past summer, last winter, this fall-all of them.

  31. Call me mean, but I think the people who come on the blog to defend Jenna are some new kind of dumb. How in the world can you read over 50+ people's comments on how she personally screwed them and still stand up for her? Get your head out of the hole you're in and stand up for what's right. She's cheating people and manipulating people and you standing up for her despite the over 50 negative reviews is ridiculous. Saying Jenna can't get a job because we bash her is a joke. Jenna can't get a job because she's lied her way to an awful reputation. Apologize, Jenna! I'm not perfect and would forgive you if you were honest about your character and choices to lie, deceive, steal and manipulate.

  32. (3/3) Wake up! Go away if you are trying to make it easier for a common criminal to continue to rip people off. Stop defending someone that has willingly and knowingly, just in the past year, taken $ from people only to lose their email, run behind producing a product, delay delay delay, and then lie openly on sub-reddit that all the hate is from a wool CSA. The wool csa is just one of many many many things JW has really done to rip people off. She likes minimalizing her thievery and making her accuser look like a fool. She's ok with stealing from people this past summer, fall, and on and on. Why she blogged about her tactics right here- 5/5/2013

"Some people assume, very wrongly, that this farm is a woman's playground paid for by donations from adoring readers. I know people assume this because they send me angry emails about it. I assure you that isn't the case. I appreciate any and all contribution to the farm, but for example, this week I posted about contributions and they totaled 73 dollars. That was the total haul for the bi-monthly fund drive which I post six times a year (last time was March). That is enough to buy half a month's worth of chicken feed or a week and a half worth of hay bales. It is a HUGE help and I am incredibly grateful for it, but $73 every eight weeks does not a playgirl make. A part time job is appreciated and needed. It'll help add income to how I actually make a living, which is through ad sales, ad clicks, workshops, freelance design, speaking, and writing books".

And how long did that part-time job last. About the same as anything else has-until the newness wore off and donations stopped. You can't make pleas for donations if your fans know you have a job. Can you?

It's going to stop, it will stop. Backers of Kickstarter keep making your complaints.

    3. I think many of us here can say, honestly, that we were inspired by JW at some point in the past. I know I was. But, that past inspiration has nothing to do with what has been going on recently, and it certainly doesn't mean I would give her a rousing review.

I liked her first book, thought it was cute, but I'm enough of a reader and writer to have realized that the subsequent books were short on useful information and long on self-absorbing, egomaniac drivel. I suppose that could be a review.

Went there for an extremely overpriced rabbit workshop (my wife bought it, not me). House and outbuildings were a disaster, lot of haphazard stuff that showed things were not getting done. I could believe this if it was a 30 acre farm in full production, but it was about 1 acre of actual land in use. Random stuff was just everywhere. The rabbit workshop was terrible. No real plan or useful information. We then had to drive to another person's place to see an animal harvested. (A retired couple owned the place and had larger gardens, more chickens and more horses than Jenna). Even my wife stopped following the blog after going there. She now knew what was really going on. Jenna also mentioned that she had done a lot of swimming that summer and looked forward to spending the majority of the next day at the river. With the amount of work that needed to be done, there should have been no swimming that summer.
In the end, she uses the blog so other people can support her dream of not working in an office. She had a blog post about her truck being repossessed and I'm pretty sure her house was near foreclosure.

The best thing she can do to rectify it now is put her nose to the grindstone and finish Birchthorn for the backers who provided her with $15,000. If you are her friend, urge her to stop binge watching TV, building god poles and visiting the brewery and deliver what she promised. Then she came here and read someone spotted her so she inadvertently left out any mention it was food she grew on her farm. No praising herself, no patting herself on the back. One of very few blog posts or FB where she wasn't seeking adulation. When a fan asked- CAF Pork? crickets. Yet when her neighbor or friend started down the path of CAF pork and that he bet that roast was really tasty etc etc. she did not deny his comment, or correct it with the fact that she had purchased it just that day at a local farm stand....

Building websites for Heathen group more important than being warm? How about the 8 miles a day she was running? Calories would have been burned cutting wood AND it would have actually been productive----- firewood!

What I do wonder is, do these people read her CAF blog? Because the pattern of begging and hypicrisy is very clear over there. I honestly don't understand how folks don't see it.

Clearly, this is her new group to grift and she's laid the groundwork for it. Maybe with the face to face interaction of her local group, she will be held accountable for anything she promises them.

I do rather laugh at those who talk about her 'reputation' based solely on her online presence. Of course, her online history is apparently not good enough as proof of her misdeeds but her words on the screen that swear she's just a victim of bullying are. Am I missing something here? Do folks not understand how the internet works?

And by business if an author is asking for a public review her business is writing. If a blog writer is looking for a public review on their website and their business relies on their blog and it's information then the reviewer must say this-

I loved the book, the blog and everything about it. This that and the next thing yadda yadda. I am writing this review in hopes of the author choosing my name for 3 free signed books. It would be clearer in other situations and then you write- I am being paid for this endorsement. Still, her set-up is shady and not very ethical at all. I wouldn't accept anything said by someone who is commenting or reviewing for a chance to win 3 free signed books.

    1. FTC Guidelines About Posting Reviews and Testimonials

The FTC has created the following guidelines for reviews, blog posts and any form of online publishing such as articles:

All endorsements or testimonials must be truthful and not misleading in any way
If there’s a connection between the endorser and the company that would affect how people evaluate the endorsement, the relationship must be disclosed
Even paid endorsements are considered to be deceptive if they make false or misleading claims
If the FTC or other consumer interest groups finds that your practice has been posting fake reviews online, or that you are paying someone to write reviews about your business without indicating that they are being compensated for the activity, you could face a hefty fine and end up losing credibility.

You are also welcome to ad book and blog reviews, particularly if this website has helped you in any way realize your own dreams. If you do so I might use them on the site with your credit and permission. Basically, readers and clients are references to folks who do not know me.

This is indeed going to take some of your time and I don't want to appear ungrateful! So I will pick a random blog comment to win a Season Pass to Cold Antler Farm events or three signed books of mine (your choice!) if you can't attend events here at the farm".

Jenna talks a good talk, she can paint your a picture, through her words and such that sounds really good. But the thing is, she doesn't do any of it. She's been on her place for five years and it's like the same aside from a mews her friends built... Hardly anything has been done. Her fences suck, her herds are depleted, her animals are in the same crappy enclosures, she hasn't learned to make anything except a chicken on kale or some sickly sweet BBQ pork. She talks about all this homesteading freedom and yet she makes a living off logos, a little writing, begging money from readers and high priced workshops of little value.

She talks the talk but in no way walks the walk except for a few chickens and pigs in her yard. She really does hardly anything homesteady anymore. She sure doesn't write about it. Nothing, just all this tv watching fan girl crap and oh now her heathen clan. Ugh.

A celebrated scam artist, it is very entertaining to watch the evolution of her new grift. Most of us were huge Jenna fans, and some of us were scammed. Others of us are concerned about the way she let her sheep suffer for days, or solicited donations for dental work and bought a new puppy instead.

A puppy that hasn't been fixed and is in danger of becoming impregnated too early.

Others of us donated to Kickstarter and were promised a product that hasn't been delivered. It is hard to look away when the person you thought you were supporting to write a novel is out hawking instead of writing, the book is now a .pdf. and it isn't really a novel anymore, just a novella.

Ever ask yourself why Jenna's *customer base* - people who actually bought things, donated, took a workshop, showed up here. What does it mean when your customer base absconds to the other side? Consider before judging: How much heat will there have to be before you consider the possibility of fire? How many complaints? How many people? Just be open to it, and know you can come here when you get burned.

We have a one acre lot and half is wooded. We have so many trees on that half acre, I can't count them. Surely she could spare a few for firewood as we did.

Does it make a difference if the trees are on a hillside? Can't she find someone with a chainsaw and barter for services?

I really don't believe she 'doesn't have time' to harvest wood. Where there's a will there's a way. She claims to be scrappy. If she wanted to harvest her wood, she would. But I guess it's not as much fun as watching TV or playing with her bird.

    3. Environmentally speaking...there's an art to wood lot management. Based on my BS Geography Major (GIS and Environmental Studies)....you want to keep vegetation on a hillside for the roots to secure the soil. This is also why you want to maintain riparian buffer zones along streams and rivers. Soil will readily wash away with fluvial (water) erosion and/or alluvial (wind) erosion. This leads to issues at the point of erosion and the associated water systems.

I'm sure there's an extension office (or a friend who just wrote a book on wood lot management and is a professor at a local college) willing to take a look and mark trees to thin or harvest.

You want to thin forests to allow sunlight to reach the growing trees.

    1. Yes, good business people and anyone with a brain understands that, but she does her darndest to call the shots. When she discounted her logos with the stipulation that she would limit her revisions--not keep working on it until the client was happy---then it's not really a logo discounted--it's a partially done logo--a different product altogether. She has no concept of customer service. With her products of questionable value or quality, she should bend over backwards in that department; but that's too much trouble for her--and that's the real measure of her character -hence no refunds, almost no communication. Those annoying, pesky customers--who needs 'em?!
Her latest bundled package of logo with a workshop "thrown in"on the side (makes it sound so special, NOT) and money given to charity she made the cryptic stipulation that her logo was offered via her idea of "teamwork": that means like only one revision/back and forth with the client.
Her statements that she is relying on logo design because book deals are hard to come by these days just shows how clueless she is. She HAS a book deal: it's called BIRCHTHORN!!! She should have had that outlined before she ever offered it. She got greedy and took money to write in readers as characters and she can't handle that. If she had put real effort into that project, she could have a product that she could show to publishers to show what she could do in the fiction department and have glowing reviews from her readers. Too late now--she moved on long ago.

    2. You have such good points.

I love how she calls the Wool CSA a "Yarn thing". Trying to trivialize her own product--yeah, Jenna a yarn thing that people paid $100 (and More) for. People know it's wool, and for some real homesteaders that's a product with huge potential to be further processed with creative energy into something beautiful to sell, wear or hang. And you blew out your customers' candles of vision. JW is like yeah, call me a monster for letting animals die and not following through on a yarn thing. Well, I would say monster for the former and fraudster for the latter.
What kills me is wondering - did she not even google or do the most basic of research to learn Scottish Blackface sheep wool is not good for knitting yarn neither before she bought them or when she set out to do the wool CSA?? Her business ignorance is breathtaking. She just wanted the cool Highland breed to go with her Viking Gal persona?? I guess her customers could have also researched that variety but I think they just trusted she knew what she was doing and wanted to help her. I know sadly, she turned off some to CSAs altogether. Could she have still had the wool processed for whatever its use was (carpets or harris tweeds or whatever) and still come through with something for her supporters??. After the hunt we'll go to town for lunch at the Roundhouse cafe and then stack some firewood for the farmstead we use for blot and meetings."

    1. She just will not stack that firewood by herself, will she. And she calls herself scrappy?

She has found a new source of free labor.

    2. I'm speechless....

I can't believe she has the balls to even ask the members of her religious group to do such a menial task.

      Delete
    3. Oh, so her 'cult' gets to scare out game (watch out for brambles!) for her hawk, whilst she strolls along with AK on her arm. And then to ask them to also stack her firewood for her? Something that could have taken her 20 minutes to do alone? I also am speechless...

    4. Oh, and going to town for lunch. She's not buying??? After putting her new-found crew to work on her place? Gawd, unbelievable.

      Delete
    5. What do you want to bet that when one of her group asks for help around their place, she is NOWHERE to be found. "Oh, I just can't leave the farm...."

    6. This is unreal. What on earth? There will be no prey animals within two miles with all those people, She has found a way to do absolutely nothing in the name of Religion. She is a pig. Just plain a pig. She can't work, she won't work, she will watch others work. She will also allow them to buy her lunch. I hope that those of you who support Jenna who come here, are seeing this..

    7. I think it's funny that the hawk is now just 'Anna' and not 'Anna Kendrick'. I guess these people may not be into celebrity worship.

      Delete
    8. Oh I noticed it was soon after someone here made the comment along the lines of, that sane fans would name their pet "Anna", but insane fans would name it "Anna Kendrick".
Obviously it must have hit JW with a cold dose of reality to how creepy her adulation was---also it didn't work to garner her attention from the object of her worship--neither did that weird blog post trying to draw parallels between the real AK and herself--because soon after she started referring to the hawk as just "Anna". But it would be weird to explain that name to her fellow heathenites. I wonder how she explained "Corbie"--she didn't want to be recognized as JW?" Begs the question--why not? What's wrong with JW? Since she's so open about her religion, she didn't try to hide it. Maybe heathen take on special names.

    9. Hey now...this isn't the place to pull the "pig" with negative connotations card.

      She's a bad person.

  64. What the what? If anyone has donations for the food pantry they can take them to the food pantry THEMSELVES.

It's a little sleazy of Jenna to let her fans provide her with the donations so she can present it as the work of the Tyrs Good Hand Heathen group.....

Besides, you know she'll be stocking her larder and closet with the TP and anything else she needs.

    FB:

"Hey Guys! A group here in town is running a drive to collect goods for the local food pantry. They need toiletries, paper goods (Tp and paper towels) and "meals in a can" so think hearty soups and pastas. If you have anything to donate please let me know and I'll come pick it up. You can also drop it off here."

    2. She really is a criminal genius, like most sociopaths one wonders what she could do if she put all these machinations towards good, but within 1 year business plan 2.0 has been realized, another facet of cult leadership willing to contribute labor, canned goods and TP, and CAF a registered tax exempt house of worship, life is grand at the top folks!

  65. Luckily there are only 13 people in her heathen group. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they realize they're being used. And if not...well...whatcanyado...

They can stack firewood all day, it still isn't paying the mortgage...

  66. Did she actually call herself a dog trainer in her homesteader vlog??? That's good humor! She also mentions concerns about clean water. She never mentions what she does to make sure she has clean water in case of grid outages. Not too concerned I guess.

  67. Has anyone read the pavlovian drool that the Stepford farmers are writing in praise of The Woz? She offers a free POS old book or some such visit to the gulag and people are panting in praise and awe of this farce. Jenna, you are absolutely the only person in all of humanity to have followed your dreams all the way to a root canal and a new truck, how much flattery must I write to win the prize?

  68. Egads, I guess your complaints about the firewood will force some poor sucka heathens to do the work, as per Heathen News: This is a weekend meetup without Blot or studies, just a casual gathering featuring a morning of hawking (Hunting with a red tailed hawk) followed by stacking firewood for the farmhouse. Location is only shown to members of the secret cult of JW, I wonder if it could be at......CAF? Girls got balls, i will give her that, c'mon wussies stack my wood now bitches, don;t make me drink another mead, grrr

  69. I've never known of anyone (whose doings I've stayed in touch with for so many years) to get away with the kinds of crappy bad behavior, continuing irresponsibility re debts, unfulfilled obligations, the non-homesteading of her homestead - while having had down-payment money donated (right?), all kinds of other money pouring in for dogs, vets, dentists, trucks, for work promised and undelivered - yet entire time she's been there, I believe, being months behind on the mortgage..and always whimpering about needing hay, wood, fences failing....

I have followed her blog forever and all the above is written, clearly - repeatedly, I may add (except for her shitty business behavior, which you don't find out about on her blog). Has there been another invisible blog written in a parallel universe for her fans (and i don't mean the hardly ever produced special, special content clan blog)?

What in the name of Freyr or Frigga are her adorers adoring??? I am speechless and nonplussed (sorry, J, not jealous) over the love she gets from her groupies who are so "inspired" by her.

Are they not reading the same pathetic stuff we are? What is up with them. There are many real farmers and homesteaders among them. I have clicked on them. They do things to make their land and animals and buildings better. They have families. They work hard from what I can gather. Many of them, who are oozing love at her, should be able to see her with clearer eyes.

I have not been burned personally by Jenna, money-wise; I have neither donated and watched my contribution to the Jenna Inc. non-profit charity be misused nor have I failed to receive product or services from her since I have ordered nothing.

All I've done is follow her antics and pathetic inability to take care of her buildings, animals, and the whole endless nine yards of her guilt-tripping her readers to order, donate, pitch in, help out a "gal" who is in danger of losing her blah blah blah - while talking obnoxiously about the regular folk who slave away in offices, not FREE to be you and me like she, is, brave scrappy girl.

It's hard to miss how unworthy of the admiration, you go girls, and general glowing approval she still gets from so many.

What is up with them? I read their comments with, literally, my mouth agape.

    1. Oh, I'm with you Anon 11:51. The fan interaction is seriously one of the stranger things about the Jenna Show. I mean, it just does not compute. I've been reading the latest round of flattery and baseless praise and I'm left dumbfounded by it. As you say, we're all reading the same blog and privy to the same hackneyed tweets so how do they not see? What's unfortunate is that Jenna is always encouraging people to follow her path but she forgets to point out that you need 3K or so FB friends to sponge off every month.

  71. Look at the timeline. She posted that "help from my friends" and started catching flak and people telling her to go to work. Then, Meredith contacted the heathens and From Scratch and started the Cold Antler Sham thread. So then she had to do the inspirational piece and beg for reviews. It's a pushback against her critics, and an attempt to show From Scratch and the heathens that we are just haters and liars. She hasn't started that Web site yet, and I would be shocked if she ever did. It's another scam.

  76. I volunteer for our local food pantry and we NEVER ask for or get cake mixes or frosting. We get supermarket cakes and desserts that either are just out of date or got smashed against the container so it doesn't look pretty anymore. I'm pretty sure nobody at the pantry suggested boxed cake mixes.

    1. A local pantry near me does request cake mixes and frosting along with many other items. Maybe so families can celebrate birthdays. I suppose seniors might like to bake if its something theu enjoy - it can feed the soul so its not entirely unbelievable. Still I'd like to see how much she herself is donating!

  77. She's EFFing ridiculous. Why not ask her heathen antlers for sugar and coffee creamer which they will donate to the homeless, but hey, I can pick it up and "donate it" for us! I wish this could be a new low but I am sure lower is underway already. and I am with another reader, goodbye to her blog and life is too short to deal with this crook!

  78. Since Corbie RSVPed for t.g.h. Hawking & Firewood (stacking) does that mean she's gonna stack it on 12/12?? Not likely! There is probably some unwritten "if only 3 or fewer can come" an event is cancelled!

And oh, why o why the dopey name? So girlishly precious. Sounds kinda sweet and harmless, ha!

I guess my creeped out irritation is that reaction that often occurs when you particularly cannot bear or stand someone: everything about them becomes unpleasant and grist for the annoyance mill. I got like that with a prominent politician some years ago where I couldn't even listen to the sound of his voice, for an instant, let alone a single word the voice was saying. Just could. not. bear. anything. about.

Interesting how none of her failures seem to embarrass her or knock her off her game; she just keeps boldly reaching her icky, sticky tentacles out in new directions, searching for prey.

That is one of the aspects of JW's ego that I find most bizarre. She seems to have so little
awareness or conscience, just keeps plugging away, so publicly, at increasing her admirer base. And her admirers keep admiring - so some kinda weird power, seems to me.

    2. I not only find Jenna shocking (wouldn't she just love hearing that? oh dear! surely not my intention) but I continue to be just amazed by the degree to which I find her way of being in the world utterly repellent, with this reaction now having spread to the(tentacled)human herself.

When I used the phrase you quoted I actually had a visual flash of an alien, reptilian creature, groping about with slimy appendages looking for a new victim to nourish it. With the analogy to JW, not just desperately craving physical sustenance, but admiration and desire to be adored, admired, aided, and emulated. RUN, people!

Safe to say I won't be signing up for a workshop any time soon - even if they become free in some sci-fi future - just to see the place in all its un-glory. And I would scamper in the other direction if I saw her ambling in her kiltie down the streets of Cambridge.

I might actually be moving w/in a couple of hrs of her and once thought how fun it would be to visit some of the local spots - and maybe even see her, ms cool country gal. Hate that term, now. But uh uh. Spare me that glimpse.
