You're welcome ladies ;)

  1. Is he your boyfriend?

  2. I'm just imagining if this was a picture of a woman working, showing her cleavage or something, with a caption that said, "You're welcome, fellas." What a backlash there would be! Why is this ok because the subject is a guy? Don't they deserve the same respect?

    1. AND, if this picture was taken at work, and this is your coworker, I imagine a sexual harassment suit could follow.

    2. I agree with the above comment. This seems very inappropriate! Private blog or not this shows a disturbing mindset of how to treat coworkers or people in general and would very much be sexual harassement.

    3. Coworker?

Where do you all get this from?

Not a coworker and if you think this picture is harassment you dont want to know what goes on behind closed doors.

    4. You are vulgar and as people question or disagree with you, your nasty attitude shows. People assumed it may be a coworker since you said your new job is logging and landscaping with two men, then you start posting pics of someone doing tree work. You also have posted pics in the past of your job and worksites so it is not out of the realm of possibilities. Some people were trying to give helpful advice to be careful in posts and comments but you have chose to attack. It is disapointing to see.

    5. Helpful comments? Oh please. Assuming I'm posting photos of my coworkers is offensive.

    6. He will be flattered you all think he is a mid 20 year old coworker of mine. This whole post gave him a good chuckle.

  3. B/C guys aren't as sensitive as chicks. I would bet $100 the guy in the picture would consider it a compliment if he saw this post.

  4. Sorry, I have to say if it's wrong for the goose, it's wrong for the gander. If it's wrong to objectify a woman/ it's wrong to objectify a man. Assuming that he might like it because some men are less "sensitive" doesn't make it okay.

    1. There's a difference between objectifying random people and joking around on a private blog. Not that Meredith is under any obligation conform to your definitions of right and wrong.

Are you just here to hassle or what?

    2. Meredith once posted a negative response to Jenna's picture of herself with a bit of cleavage, and a comment about being a busty woman. Why is that wrong, when SHE posted it about herself, yet it's ok if Meredith posted someone ELSE'S picture objectifying?

I'm anon 8:32, and i did not write the anon 9:53 comment.

  5. Guys - can you give your opinion please?

Perhaps the gentleman in the picture can comment?

Right now I'm betting that Anon 10:41 is right.

    1. Haha I'll ask him...I'll probably have to ask him 5 times as he will think he's hearing it wrong.

He is skilled, hard working, in shape and proud of it...as am I!

    2. He said take it for what it is...enjoy it.

  6. Seriously? People are getting upset over this? Meredith can't make a sweet brag about a guy, who is most likely NOT a coworker, on her OWN blog ? Sheesh.

      Yay me!

  7. I take it a few of you wouldn't be purchasing his 12 month eye candy work calender?!

This is not a fleshy sexualized picture. I assume the majority of this blog are like minded women who can appreciate a picture of a man working hard who is skilled in his trade. A photo that showcases not only the level of fitness required to be a climber but the tools involved, from harnesses and climbing saw to the climbing spurs on his legs.

If all you see is an ass shot you are missing 75% of the picture.

If you think this is the same as posting a picture of yourself sitting on a horse with your tits flooding out of a shirt with a narrative about your rack to get comments from men...well...we don't see eye to eye.

Jenna posted a picture of her tits on a prop called Merlin. This photo is an awesome angle of a man hard at work. A man Who was aware the picture was taken and aware the picture was posted. A man who appreciates what I appreciate when I see this picture.

    1. Clearly, if your readers do not agree with you, you respond to them with vitriol. Hm, who does that sound like? You may not delete comments, but you can get pretty nasty yourself.

I think JW is ridiculous, but if she wants to post sexualized selfies on the internet, as long as she is willing to deal with the creepy feedback, that's her own business. It doesn't harm anyone else...not even Merlin.

To each her own. Just don't put yourself on a high horse for thinking this is some kind of egalitarian free-thinking blog site. You slam your readers down with the best of them when you disagree with their opinions.

    3. It's your blog. Be as crude and vulgar as you please. Just don't dismiss others for voicing different opinions, while simultaneously pretending you're the epitomy of open-mindedness.

    4. I will dismiss opinions that are wrong.

You assume this is a co-worker I'll tell you that you're wrong.

Do I need to pretend this is a coworker to not hurt those opinions which are wrong?

Open-mindedness doesn't mean 100% in agreement or no disagreement.

We have had wonderful healthy respectful disagreements on this blog.

    5. The only place Meredith's response would be considered vitriol is a Quaker meeting house.

  8. Amen! Nothing sexier than a man at work. Just my opinion anyway. Lol.

  10. As a nearly stereotypical leftist lesbian feminist, with a thin skin when it comes to sexualization and objectification, I am not seeing these pictures as anything but beautiful and interesting pictures of a focused man at work. With Meredith joking around a bit because um...she is a little giddy with delight.

If I saw pictures of JW In a kilt chain sawing, stacking an honest load of wood, simply mowing her own lawn or otherwise *actually* sweaty and working, and there happened to be cleavage showing as a consequence of that work, again, I would not think it was a creepy over-sexualized picture because cleavage or ass or whatever part is not the point of the picture, the working and the whole body at work is.

Of course the hottest thing in pictures like this is the equipment but that's how I roll :) Gear heads unite!

On a side note, whatever this may evolve to be, I am so happy for you, Meredith. Yay you!

    1. Thank you!

Also...this wasn't posted by him on his business site with a commentary about his body. There is no comparison.

      I am giddy...but mostly relieved.

I waited and dated half my life and finally found him. :)

      He is everything and more.

    2. B,

"To each her own. Just don't put yourself on a high horse for thinking this is some kind of egalitarian free-thinking blog site. You slam your readers down with the best of them when you disagree with their opinions."

The point being here you can have opinions and they are not censored or deleted.

I could disagree with you or simply delete comments and have a Meredith love fest. I love the commentary and the opinions, especially those which are well thought out. I don't delete comments except at the commentors request.

The beauty is being able to agree disagree applaud or slam one another. Enjoy!
