One day

I'll have a tiny house on a trailer that I move as I rotate the pigs around so we are always close.

Heaven.

  1. This one's so nice and bright inside, gorgeous floor, too.

  2. Beautiful. I love the floor, too. One thing I especially like is that there is a "real" staircase, and not just a ladder like so many of them.

    1. Good point. Real stairs are a plus if you have dogs.

  3. Yes...I love the stairs. I wouldn't do a ladder loft...I'd have to rig a basket and pulley system to get the dogs in bed!

  4. What kind of truck would it take to move it?

    1. A hefty one!

I hadn't thought that through when I purchased my trailer for storage after the fire. It takes a certain truck to move it (don't recall what ton).

  5. These have come along way, so many are very cleverly done now

  6. I don't know... I think modern travel trailers can have everything but a loft, and it's all made to ride on the road and fit. I wouldn't really want to transport one of these tiny houses for fear of damage.
But you can probably get the same look by finishing a shed. And Meredith, with the energy you've shown in your recent renovations, there's no doubt you could do it!

    1. I'd like to drag one around a property as I rotate pigs though!

    2. I adore tiny house but agree about travel trailers. I've been looking on Craigslist for a (very) affordable small camper that i can renovate cheaply. Something light. We would camp in it but also use it as a guest room. I've also seen people around here living in inexpensive campers while they save money / renovate houses. Very smart idea.

  7. Maybe you should look into shepherd's huts like the ones made by Plankbridge or Riverside Shepherd's Huts.

  8. Would you be raising the pigs for food? If so, how do you deal with that? I know how much you love pigs.
