Eddie Todd O'Clock

I painted this for Eddie on 5/25/13.

He was very charismatic.

His thoughts and creative energy never stopped flowing.

I joked that the world ran on Eddie Todd time.

  1. That's a sweet creative way to show how you appreciated his uniqueness. - I like the colors and the folk art quality of it.

  2. It sounds like maybe you aren't ready for another relationship. E-everyone will pale in comparison to Eddie until you find the one who accepts and loves you as you are -- and you can support each other's goals.and develop.shared ones. The "problem" with Eddie is he can't be replaced but his story.was.cut short. You have the film of your lives intertwined but it was cut short and you may start idealizing him. The thing is , you will always have that as part.of your life but he isn't available anymore except in the wisdom and lo 've he left beyond. Use that to enhance your current or future relationships, but don't compare and judge because he probably wouldn't want that. The lyrics of that song by Stephen Sills "Love the One You're With" always struck a chord with me. I once was infatuated with a man I couldn't have at first - then hey became available to me but I had built him up.so much in my mind I couldn't see him as the fallible person he was. He too was very charismatic. I never thought I would find someone else like that. I did,.but that guy was unavailable and in retrospect its a good thing he was! Charismatic but irresponsible. Eventually I started being drawn to the introspective deep type that were rock solid in dependability and found my true home. I can't know or say what you need or want. Of course you should never settle. Just be open to different types. Ill.mind my own business now cause this is nothing you probably don't already know. I'm sure it helps to post.about Eddie and help him live through sharing his ways.but it makes it sound like you're not ready to move on and posting in a public forum will.send that message to anyone who reads it.That said, love the sign. I bet he did too.

    1. Thanks for your thoughts.

      I'm limping along.

I'm ready and am dating...but cherish the good memories of Eddie while letting the bad ones fade.

He wasn't perfect and I appreciate the ways he and Johnathon differ.

Eddie will always be a part of me..and my story.

I couldn't be with someone that didn't accept that or is intimidated by it.

      It is what it is.

The joy of this blog is I'm not selling a story I'm just telling mine.
