My cat guards the chickens (or thinks he does anyway), and my dogs are just my garden and yard companions. They like to keep me company while I'm busy digging in the dirt or doing general yard chores.

i crave a dog companion. i have four dogs but none are the type to just "hang". Two are hound/terrier mixes, one is a terrier, the other a chihuahua. Not the best of breeds for a sit and hang around while i garden mentality.
i need to write/post more pictures of my pets...and chickens.
I have a Border Collie mix, a Beagle, a Beagle/Dachshund mix, and a Jack Russell Terrier. The first three are rescues and the JR was given to us when she was 6 weeks old as a wedding present.
I have two black labs that have their own empty raised garden bed to dig and nap in while I work in the real beds. They are the PERFECT sit and hang dogs...I always joke that my favorite raised bed is the one growing dogs..

ReplyDeleteNot interested in Jon Katz either. But I have three girls. Two scotties and a foxy- they keep the cats in line and keep all mice and rats at bay. :)
