  3. I have that same Pfaltzgraff "Juniper" pattern dinnerware! Wow, the prices have gone up!

As a life-long bachelor, my Pfaltzgraff Juniper pattern dinnerware remains unused in the china cabinet. For daily meals I use Correlle dinnerware http://www.corelle.com/

Oh Meredith, you’d be so nice to come home to! Except I’m not a dog person. Sorry.

    1. Indeed you are correct eagle eye!

There are 2 bowls and a tiny gravy pitcher in the cupboards. Came with the apartment. I suspect they were originally my old bosses and her ex husbands?

Who would have thought...my $2 soup in a fancy $200+ set. I thought it was dime a dozen random garage sale items. Ooops.

All my kitchenware is boxed up in my trailer since the fire. I used a handful of items in my Ayrshire kitchen but never settled in there. I do have a box of China from my grandma I'm excited about.

Now tell me if you may....how old are you? A man with a China cabinet? I'm curious. Its a darling feature for a home to have.

Btw..,I'm really a pig person ;) just didn't realize it until I was in too deep with dogs!

After these dogs pass I hope to travel or live abroad and eventually settle into a farm with a low maintenance dog.

No one has ever said I'd be nice to come home too! That is a sweet compliment.

  4. Well, the China cabinet was inherited. And I got the Pfaltzgraff Juniper pattern dinnerware when a 4 place set sold for $49.95 at J.C. Penney. That was the hook. Pfaltzgraff counts on folks buying more place settings, and all the various accouterments.

Otherwise I’m just an old guy who looks forward to coming home to a sanctuary from the world. In my mind’s eye, I see a simple one-room Bucks County farmhouse, a double fireplace ablaze, bread baking, meat roasting, wine chilling, and our table set with Pfaltzgraff Juniper pattern dinnerware. Entering our comfortable abode, I quickly close the door against a snowy nor'easter. Across the room, you look up from the desk, next to our comfy feather bed, where you have been working tirelessly to bring justice for the animals at Ayrshire Farm. In that instant all else falls away. You rise from your chair, and we embrace. This is our time, alone with each other, our shared vulnerability, in our little sanctuary. We settle into the night, nourished by a double fireplace glowing, bread baked, meat roasted, wine chilled. Yes Meredith, you would be so nice to come home to. https://youtu.be/EWHTLC5zbL4

    1. I hope we both get what we long for.

...the only correction is I'd be trampsing in from working with my own pigs. Ayrshire needs a resolution. Those pigs need help. Working for justice is poisoning my soul...the suffering needs to end.

THANK YOU for realizing how important it is to me. How this little blog has focused on Cold Antler Farm when the abuse and fraud of Ayrshire Farm is exponentially greater is difficult for me to grasp.

    2. I just Googled Bucks County farmhouse curious if it was a type (like gambrel barn) or referencing the geographical region. The images on Google that resulted are my dream properties. Gorgeous with a history and a warmth that can be built new.

  5. Yes, Meredith, you have a correction...you are a high spirited, driven, and passionate lady. In your quest for justice for animals, you are a rare person, you experience the world as a dynamic and a changeable, interactive thing. I would add (not a correction) "Working for justice [through the court system;click my blog name for a link] is poisoning my soul...the suffering needs to end."

So what is your age range for a man? My age preference for a woman is 35+ but will consider a lady with unique qualities, someone to experience the world as a dynamic and a changeable, interactive thing.

You mentioned travel, is your passport up to date? I lament not having a travel partner for the wonderful trips arranged through my alumni association, like this trip to Italy October 2015.

I enjoyed my studies, taken in the evening division, and 10 years later than usual. I graduated with honors. But negotiating the American social class system, that has been more elusive. After graduating high school I began my working career as an 18 year-old in the rod mill labor pool at the US Steel Fairless Works. Thankfully I was laid-off, and went into business.

I would like to try pet donkeys. They look like fun.

Those trips look amazing!!! From Africa to Antarctica! I love their focus and the "Learning" mentality of the trips. Its all about the history, environment, and culture. I love it.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't even have a passport. I have not given myself the opportunity for travel due to various constraints I placed on myself. Over extending myself financially with animals being #1.

Did you go on the Italy trip?

      Do you live in PA?

Email me at meredithamonson@gmail.com if you'd like.

    2. Don’t feel bad about your passport, mine is 2 years out of date. See the new link.

No trip to Italy either. In the past I traveled alone; now I would rather wait for a travel companion. The travel brochures are nice, they can serve as an inspiration too, for the uninvited, and us folks of lesser means, to make their own trip.

I no longer live in PA, but it is never far from my thoughts. Place of my birth, my business, my education, and many years of living.

I will email you later this week, thank you.
