  1. Are they pretty calm once they're restrained? Probably a little stressful especially with clippers running. Necessary though, I know. Glad you're enjoying your work at this place.

    1. Most are calm, some are vocal and will spit.

      In addition to shearing we check and trim feet, file teeth if necessary, give shots, and do an overall wellness exam.

      Having them restrained and on the ground is the safest way for the alpaca and us.

      I'm sure it is a little stressful, kind of like going to the doctor and dentist can be for us. The entire process is quick. They are generally in and out within 20 minutes.
