Has anyone read it?
I don't recall being taught about Humboldt in school! I have some catching up to do.
I haven't read it, but now I want to! I've never heard of Humboldt either, but see he is a naturalist. Looks like an interesting read. Thanks for sharing it!
Humboldt, California (the town) was named after Von Humboldt. Later the county was named that, too.
