PA working horses

Watch "PA working horses" on YouTube

Quick glimpse of the not so rare PA working horse.  On the way to camping there was a detour which gave the opportunity to take a few miles of off the beaten path roads.

Pennsylvania is known for working horses.  Between the Amish, Mennonite, and PA Dutch presence it's more common than not to see horse and plow or horse and buggy if traveling more than 30 miles in any direction.

In many areas of the state vehicles are ever vigilant of the roads shoulder, always ready to give a wide girth of those traveling in more primitive fashion (same goes for those on bike or foot).

This video is poor as I did not want to get close/clear footage of the young gentleman without his permission. Some, such as the Amish, prefer not to be on video or photographed.  I'm not sure if this man was Amish or Mennonite, but I'd guess Mennonite based on the region we were in.
