Yes! I built a 400 Sq ft one last month here in NC, all by myself just based on you tube. I learned soooo much and had a blast. I still have tomatoes and watermelon growing along with the usual fall and winter crops. We have had a few nights in the 20s and 30 but it's a freaking sauna in that thing. I love it so much I want to camp inside it. It was not easy...
Sorry, premature posting. The cons. It's ugly and my neighbors probably hate it, but who cares. I couldn't seal every drafty spot. Making the door was a huge problem and is not as air tight as it needs to be. I forgot I need a watering system in there now that it's covered. Duh. No pollination. The crops grow more huge than normal it seems and I don't have enough space between them. Some sort of bug or blight issues that seem to be spreading rather fast. Condensation builds up bc I don't have proper ventilation. Heavy rain sits on one section of my roof bc the slope aint quite right. Etc etc. This is my first try tho so I don't care the cons. I will learn my lessons this year and regroup next fall!!!

ReplyDeleteMine is more of a potting shed. 10x12 made from old windows, with corrugated clear roofing and a chicken wind vane.
ReplyDeletePart garden storage, part potting part refuge from the outside world. I have a wicker chair and a little table for resting and reading.
