Fostering community

One craptastic dog food crapuffin at a time.

Nothing like name dropping a local business only to crap on their products.

It's either Jennas way or the shit highway!

Nice to know donations are going towards impulse purchases turned dog food...

  1. I just can't for the life of me figure out why she lies about her clothing size. She claims she's a size 10, but I'm sorry, there is no way in hell she is even close to a size 10. And she says a few lbs down she'll be an 8? It's not a big deal what size she is, so why lie about it?

  2. She has to lie about it because she has major body and self esteem issues.

That's why she can't handle constructive criticism. That's why she declares she's doing things her way not the smart way and why she calls herself a troll.

How many diets is this chick going to try before she realizes you lose weight by eating right and working off the calories. Interesting thing though didn't she say there was nothing in her kitchen with barcodes, that most of her meals were coming from the garden and farm.

Like everything else she does it won't last long then shell be on to the next self gratifying project.

  3. *eyeroll*

I hate when people go Paleo or ANY diet and proclaim they've found the holy grail of eating. First off, it might not be sugar that was making her feel terrible; a muffin is hardly only sugar. It's mostly gluten, but saying you're going off of bread for the rest of your life isn't nearly as sexy or doable. Secondly, this statement: "I have tried so many fads and extremes" should be completed with "and now Paleo." Because Paleo is extreme. (I'm gluten/soy/egg intolerant, fwiw, and I know from extreme eating.)

This is what's going to go down. She says this now, that's she's Paleo. At this point, we're two months out from the last crisis/beg and we're back into the spend+play portion of the "crisis, beg, spend, play" loop that an anon commenter pointed out here. Once the next crisis/beg comes around, she'll say for the fortieth time "I'm on a budget again! No more Subway!" and then we'll all know how well that Paleo diet has been going.

  4. I see that, once again, things are tight and she is several weeks behind in her mortgage. Seems to be the same cycle repeating again - hints re shortage of $$$, worrying etc. I guess that we'll get another request for donations soon.

  5. Here we go again!

The mortgage isn't THAT late. Again. Not my idea of a mundane concern.

With winter coming and the harsh predictions for the NE she needs to concentrate on battening down.

Just wait, folks. The pleas for money are coming. Seems to happen once a month.

  6. Didn't she profess that everything she needed was in her area. That there was no reason to be in a store because she could barter or trade or purchase what she needed to augment the pork and chicken and lamb and fruits and veggies she grew herself?

If you have that quality of food available what are you doing at Subway. Yuck!

And, why but muffins when you can make your own from all those apples you just pick.

It's just her little fairytale...with a size of fast food junk.

Easy to talk. Hard to walk.

  7. JW is a fad-hopping whacko. If you want a genuine account of living locally, try Kingsolver's "Animal, Vegetable, Mineral."
I grew up in a small, rural town on a farm. If anyone in that town had been so publicly disrespectful toward a local business (like JW), they would have been shunned (not saying that's right, but that's the way it was).
Anyway, thought I'd post a couple pics for your amusement. She truly is DELUSIONAL!

  9. Right on queue. Let the begging begin.

  10. Cold Antler Farm takes queue from the pyramid schemes. Buy and pay today for workshops that are a year away. So what happens if CAF goes belly up in the meantime? Your money is lost.

Selling stuff AGAIN to make payments she is behind on. Problem is she doesn't have enough nice stuff to sell off to continue paying her debt.

Hasn't she already sold like 5 tack packages. Or, maybe not sold. that is another problem.

  11. LET THE BEGGING BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I got a source of hay to pick up tomorrow and the barn will host nearly 50 bales. For my amount of stock that isn't much..."
    BEG BEG BEG

"I do have enough firewood to last a month or longer if temperatures don't drop too far.... So firewood is a serious need but also I have enough to get by.... I still need to get a chimney cleaner here but I'm not horribly worried."
LET'S HELP JENNA! HER HOUSE IS GOING TO BURN DOWN!!!

"The main priority is the mortgage, and when that is a little more stable I will feel comfortable buying things like snow tires and more hay. I'm behind on it, not dangerously so but more than I want to be."
ANY KIND OF 'BEHIND' ON THE MORTGAGE IS DANGEROUS!
OH, SO NOW CAN'T AFFORD ANY HAY TO FEED THE ANIMALS IN DEAD OF WINTER. IT'S THEM EATING, OR PAY THE MORTGAGE. What a choice.

"I need to learn that sordid, gritty dance of frugality and resourcefulness and ruthlessness to keep things steady."

Needs to learn ruthlessness??? How about sacrificing a couple dozen chickens to carnivores?

  12. Does anyone remember the new dog she's buying? The $1500 one (assuming, since that's what Gibson cost and this dog is from the same breeder? That's a mortgage payment right there.

    1. She paid $1500 for a DOG?! (who is not even being used to half his capacity)

  13. That $1500 is probably more than one mortgage payment.

Let's see... She's got a house she's making payments on, a truck and, a horse she's making payments on, regular bills, winter stores to lay in and livestock to feed daily.

If winter is as bad as the Farmers Almanac is predicting she may end up not being able to buy hay because people will hoard.

Clearly her priorities are upside down, or non-existent.

  14. Well we all know she can't take advise or else she wouldn't have quit her day job.

  15. Wait, what? Why is she getting another dog? She can't afford the animals she already owns!

  16. Yeah, anyone ask her about Annie lately? She was sick a few months ago. Par for the course at that place -- imagine that, a sick animal....
