Wool CSA round 1

I came across this gem when Jenna Woginrich of Cold Antler Farm advertised her first Wool CSA.

Her response when I said I'd be interested after seeing how her first year of the CSA played out? Priceless.

Now she can say she's been killing sheep for 8 years...I mean raising.

For those of you who don't know because of "mean" comments like that Jenna started "banning" various commenters and reviewing comments before they were published.

Were all first year CSA wool shares been delivered in full?

  1. A quick google search will show that Scottish Blackface wool is coarse and primarily used for mattresses, carpets and upholstery. She had to have known that. I can't believe she only found out after the wool was processed. She had to have known.

  2. You would think but this is Jenna-- research is for poodles-- she prefers to dive headlong into whatever's next with wild abandon so she can write breathless posts about how she's living life to the fullest!

It was highly suspicious that she didn't send out the CSA info packet according to one subscriber. You do wonder if the whole thing was a sham from the start and not just a bad idea gone very wrong......

  3. Way back in Idaho she was saying all she wanted was to be "a shepherdess on a hill' with a dog by her side. Spring 2015 - 8 years later during which span of time surely she could have been researching and learning from others a bit about what you need to know about sheep and I was appalled she was clueless about was happening with her ewes and asking her readers for advice--and then saying she "lost one lamb but saved another" Right. One death carelessly blown off and taking credit for the one that managed to survive. And didn't she have any experienced farmer friends to call? Maybe she didn't want to admit she didn't know what she was doing.
