How's that for starting the story?
I'll c/p it chronologically at some point but for now short comments are how I'm piecing it together.
Well, I think it's coming along quite well.
ReplyDeleteI do, as well. I think the beautiful photos you have of yourself caring for healthy pigs are important. They allow comparison, especially for people who have no real knowledge of pigs or livestock in general.
ReplyDeleteA clean pen, a safe enclosure, a healthy bright-eyed pig. In contrast to: sick animals crowded together in inappropriate housing. I think you're on the right track. Keep on keepin' on....

Really good narrative, Meredith. I actually feel like I was there with you and felt really drawn into the story and the situation. Good job! The order of it confused me, but overall I loved it. I like how you showed the problem instead of telling it.
ReplyDeleteI like it, too! As an aside, I thought it was a bit ironic that I received this online petition via email this morning.

I don't know if these petitions I "sign" through online do any good, but I figure it couldn't do any harm. Since it is close to your own cause, I thought I'd post it in here in case anyone is interested.
