Not unless the stars were perfectly aligned, meaning a LGD to keep them safe.
My Bluemone farm was in a high predator area...I never had an issue at night because my set up was fortified. The problems were during the day. Chickens (at least mine) hate to be caged and I haven't seen a tractor set up that really provide a for the chickens needs while being easy to move and predator proof.
I lost all my chickens during the day to a fox (possibly coyote) twice. I'm a sucker and after so much pacing and squawking I let them out. Tried the radio trick, only out for a couple hour a trick, fenced in area trick...between hawks and ground predators it wasn't feasible for me to continue to have chickens because I couldn't safely provide for their needs.
I had 4 peeps hatch in my incubator yesterday. Ahhhh peeps! Will you have chickens on your future farm?

So to answer your question...potentially.

DeleteCongrats on your 4. Little chicks are just too cute and so much fun.
