Karen, what part of Canada are you in? Way down here in the southeastern US, and not a thing is blooming yet. Well, no, I did see one dandelion flower today. Soon, I hope!!
Anne, my daffodils have bloomed and shriveled already. And my yard is a mess of bees and butterflies and wildflowers. Totally skipped over pea planting weather.
Messes of bees, butterflies, and wildflowers sounds lovely :)
I felt either optimistic or stupid (or both), and was finally able to plant peas this week (3-4 weeks late). If scorching summer temps don't show up too soon, I might get a few peas. If not, they can be turned back under and make a good green manure that fixes nitrogen for late summer crops. I love love love fresh peas, I don't want to miss a single one if it can be helped!
I still haven't built the raised beds. Moved into this house late last summer and had other things to attend to. I should be good to go for summer planting though. :)
Daffodils are blooming in my part of Canada:)

You're so lucky. I'm so ashamed! I bought a bunch at the grocery store, right after I bought some bacon.
