But, then life is all about her and her wants and her dreams. The rest of us work hard, budget and have the life we can afford while saving for the life we dream of.
It's really very simple to fix her problem...sell all the animals, get a job, and keep the house. When she's more financially stable, add back a few animals. Easy peasy. Though I really doubt she'll even do that. Did she just now realize she needed to abandon plans for the mews and all that other "fluffy" stuff? Geesh.
Makes you wonder what her publishers were thinking touting her as a reliable source for homesteading/farming info. I know kids who show at county fairs with more sense than her.
Strange how she says it's time to focus on paying down her debt. Debt should have been the focus all along. Or did she just think they were making a donation to her dream?
She has been living like fiction in a fantasy land and the reality of nonfiction finally bit her in the ass. No Jenna, you can't have everything you want right this very minute. You have too many animals and expensive hobbies. She lost my support when she bought that damn horse.
Mine too... that was pretty much the turning point. That and when she shut down the comments, because the "advice" was not all to her liking. She misconstrued the many sensible advice posts she received, believing that people were just being "negative" or "mean".
She rebuffed me when I gave her some advice way back on why her young rabbits were dropping dead. I did a bit of research (something she could have easily done) sent it to her, trying to help. She stated that my advice post was "too long". If she had done any basic research herself, no one would feel the need to try to help her out in that way.
So only "adoring fans" allowed; no substantive, real-life experience or advice allowed. Unfortunately, her animals often pay the price for her narcissism.
I think many people gave her very sound advice early on but she didn't want to be corralled By the slow pace of doing things properly. That's not as exciting as trying every damn thing that pops into your brain.
Yet all of us levelheaded people who had good advice and said she shouldn't have quit her job were labeled as big "meanies" by her loyal gang of followers. Where are those followers now? Are they still bailing her out time after time, even after seeing her make these poor choices? And Anon 12:15, the sad thing is she didn't even really buy him! He's just another charity...his owner graciously let Jenna make payments on him, and she's still not paid for him yet!
It's so predictable it's not even funny, yet she's the only one who didn't see it coming? So maybe she's eating her words now... Being responsible isn't fun sometimes, but it's what you have to do. All those posts about how people should just jump willy-nilly into their dreams.....and people believed her.
Interesting how the post is down and a new one up talking about "the plan" to get out of debt. When you have debt like mortgage and car loans and school loans you should never be without a plan.
Besides haven't we heard this story before. Wait a week life will be all sunshine and roses with a new hobby and new spending.
You would think people recognize the pattern...
ReplyDeleteCrisis, crisis, crisis
Beg, beg, beg
Spend, spend, spend
Play, play, play
Then it starts all over again.

Apparently she hasn't learned the simple philosophy of most farm/country/homesteading/sensible folks...
ReplyDelete"cash and carry"
"cash on the barrel"
"save then spend"
"pay as you go"
The record will play again, folks.
